    It may not be the place for a leisurely dinner thanks to its cramped quarters, but the queue out the door speaks volumes about the quality of the food here. This tiny Japanese joint is the best place in town for rice and noodle dishes, and the sushi (Thursday night only, £2.50 to £4) is divine. Arrive early and be prepared to wait – it's well worth it. Last orders at 8.30pm.
