Lonely Planet review for G&D’s
One of three outlets of Oxford’s own mini ice cream chain, this branch will satisfy a craving for frozen lactose till the (almost) wee hours.

3 GREAT CAFES in one town!!!
staceymcdonald recommends this,
We are on a whirlwind tour of UK and luckily came across these cafes. for brunch we tried George and Danver, for a mid-afternnoon break we tried George and David, and in the late afternoon we dashed into George and Delila. ICE CREAM HEAVEN...it's all homemade using natural ingredients. All sandwiches are made on bagels (if you don't like bagels you're out of luck)...the bagels are not quite as good as you find in NYC but pretty good. Very nice atmosphere. Apparently George & Delila is the most recent shop of the 3 and in several respects it's the nicest (very smart interior and particularly on-the-ball staff); that said George and Danver (opposite Christ Church College) is located in a beautiful stone building and they have done a nice job with wood features inside and in restoring/maintaining other aspects of the old building (e.g. plaster ceiling design). Anyway: Good Food and Coffee...and Great Ice Cream (lot's of creative flavors). Definitely worth a visit.
