Lonely Planet review

Mid-1930s Manhattan with new-millennium facilities, the Vermont was the top dog in town, until the arrival of the Mal and Greystreet. The location is good, but a view of the castle keep just isn't enough of a sales pitch; the iPod docking stations are a decent contemporary touch.

Our independent authors have visited The Vermont Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
