Lonely Planet review
Plenty of colours light up the rooms at this lovely hotel attached to Bar Bacca; it's extremely popular with weekend visitors who swear by the attentive-but-informal service.
It's Osborne Rd. It's Friday evening. Downstairs, Bar Bacca is starting to get its groove on and everyone is in good form. There's nothing to keep you in the room bar your own state of preparedness - not the colourful-but-fundamentally bland decor in the room, not the fine-and-functional bathrooms, not even Sky News on the small telly. Nope, your room is for sleeping, and for that it serves perfect purpose: clean, neat and tidy but completely unmemorable. What you might remember, however, is the friendliness of the service and the all-round relaxed attitude of the staff, who have made a habit out of being helpful and will ensure that your experience is exactly what you'd expect in this part of the world. The Gresham is fun and always ready to welcome you back.
