Lonely Planet review for Sherlock Holmes Museum

Though the museum gives its address as 221b Baker St, the actual fictional abode of Sherlock Holmes is the Abbey National building a bit further south. Fans of the books will enjoy examining the three floors of reconstructed Victoriana, deerstalkers, burning candles and flickering grates, but may baulk at the dodgy waxworks of Professor Moriarty and ‘the Man with the Twisted Lip’. It is disappointing too that there is so little information on Arthur Conan Doyle.
