Lonely Planet review for El Parador

This laid-back Spanish place has a generous selection of tapas - try the empanadillas de espinacas y queso (spinach and cheese dish) - from all over Spain. There's a walled garden for when the sun's out and you're feeling moderately Mediterranean; the reasonably priced rioja (from around £17) should help.

    El Parador

    sophcookie recommends this,

Tucked away behind Mornington Crescent Station, El Parado is easy to miss. But the authentic, tasty food is worth seeking out and worth coming back for. My favourite dish was sweet potato with fetta, balsamic vinegar and pine nuts. The crusty bread and a glass of wine was all that was needed to make it a hearty, reasonably priced food experience. The dark, relaxed atmosphere is perfect for couples or a laid back chat with friends. Best book as it is tiny inside.
