A rare Eritrean restaurant, unpretentious Asmara serves spicy chicken, lamb and beef stews and vegetable/vegan dishes that you scoop up with injera, the flat, slightly spongy sourdough bread that is a national dish. Staff add colour with traditional costumes, while the traditional messob meat dinner (£32 for two) with traditional coffee ceremony is pure enjoyment.
