Lonely Planet review for Tsunami

The food at this celebrated restaurant exhibits the style and taste you'd expect from an ex-Nobu chef. The sushi is exquisite, but it's the more unusual dishes, like ebi prawns wrapped in Greek pastry and butternut squash, and especially the mint-tea duck with pear and sweet honey miso, that will really bowl you over.

Visited Tsunami for the first times in years. Glad to see the quality has not changed. Had a great Martini at the bar and amazing sushi in the beautiful restaurant. Looking forward to my next visit!!

    Sea Breeze

    dry_ice recommends this,

I visited Tsunami on a quiet Sunday evening, so I can't really speak about the atmosphere - except to say it was stylishly furnished like a trendy bar - but can speak about the food. Unfortunately I didn't go for any of the more interesting dishes, just stuck to the sushi, but that was very good.
Conveniently located around the corner from The Railway pub, if you're in the Clapham area and fancy a decent Japanese without travelling into town and/or forking out a week's wages, then head to Tsunami. It won't so much wash over you as soothingly lap at your feet.

    Groovy Japanese

    diarmuidr recommends this,

Up a slightly dodgy looking sidestreet this is sleek and fun and the food is great. The review above pretty much sums it up. If you're in Clapham and like Japanese food you should go - it's fun. And cheaper than Nobu, though more than your average sushi joint...
