The menu at one of Covent Garden's best places to eat is seasonal (and changes daily), with an emphasis on quality, hearty dishes and fine ingredients – there are always delicious stews, roasts and simple fish dishes. The atmosphere is lively, with a small cellar bar (open 5pm to midnight Tuesday to Saturday) for cocktails and drinks. Booking is essential (do it online).
The weekday lunch menu is £20 for two courses or £22 for three. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful with pointers and assistance.
