You won’t find fresher (or cheaper) bagels anywhere in London than at this bakery and delicatessen; just ask any taxi driver (it’s their favourite nosherie).

    Learn the lore of the Salt Beef Bagel

    Wait patiently in the queue - they serve fast
    You have to have mustard
    You have to have pickle
    You may get a smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel to take away, but the salt beef is for NOW.
    That's it. Salt beef is what I would have called corned beef, but it's warm, thickly sliced and the perfect walk-around food to enjoy while you're strolling/elbowing through the markets around Brick Lane.
