Lonely Planet review
The most central of London’s eight YHA hostels is also one of the most intimate with just 104 beds, and excellent shared facilities, including the fuchsia kitchen and the bright, funky lounge. Dormitories have three and four beds and there are doubles and twins. The in-house shop sells coffee and beer and wi-fi is free.
Our independent authors have visited YHA London Oxford Street and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in The West End.
Description provided by property
A quiet hideaway from the bustle of the busiest street in the world, YHA Oxford Street allows you relax and have this fabulous city at your fingertips.
We offer private 2-bed, 3-bed or 4-bed, dorm-4 bed and family prices for all rooms (those with under 18 children only).
None of our rooms are ensuite - showers and toilets are within easy access of all rooms.
Due to the hostel location and layout of the building we would not recommend families bring children under the age of 14 here. YHA St Pancras, Thameside and St Paul's hostels are much better suited to families.
Reception is on the 3rd floor with lift access from the ground - accommodation on this floor is limited. Please note: There is no interior lift access to rooms above 3rd floor.
We apologise, but due to the building architecture we have no disabled facilities at YHA Oxford Street. YHA London Central has full disabled access and is our next nearest hostel.
Towels are available to rent or buy from reception, as are padlocks and travel adapters.
Smoking is prohibited across the entire UK in public buildings. Please do not smoke in our rooms.”
Once inside, youll be greeted by a splash of colour and of course a smile! We have 104 beds in 2, 3, or 4 bedded private and dormitory rooms. Youll have access to a self-catering kitchen, an in-house laundrette, a TV lounge, bar, internet access and free WI-FI for YHA/HI members! Membership is available at reception if you wish to take advangage of this.
Our reception is open 24 hours and we operate a key card system throughout the hostel so you can get in and out whenever you like. Please note, due to our location we are a very busy and vibrant hostel and would not recommend families bring children under the age of 14 here. YHA St Pancras or St Pauls may be a more suitable location for younger families.
