If you're travelling with children, this wonderful forest playground is a must. An overgrown pre-Roman, open-cast ore mine, it has a maze of paths, weird rock formations, tangled vines and eerie passageways and offers a real sense of discovery. Puzzle Wood is 1 mile south of Coleford on the B4228.
