So I basically applied for the 23 month working holiday visa instead of the 12 month visa that i wanted to. because of the difference of length of stay the 23 month visa requires two health certificates that i need to get completed in a very small amount of time, 14 days I believe. Because I am a uk resident and i just don't know the rules, can i just dissolve this application and apply again? it seems it would be easier and maybe cheaper even to pay the £111 application fee again. Just running…

I would like information regarding 7 days pass using the Oyster card. I've attempted researching but there is no mention
of such a pass. Is it available? I'll visit London within a week. Many thanks!

Hi there,

I am a South African expat who is currently living in the UK on an ancestral Visa.

I would like to take a few trips into the EU for the odd holiday. For this I need a multiple entry Shengen Visa... However I am not sure where to start?!

I have heard I need to apply at the embassy of an EU country, a friend suggested the Italian embassy.

Could someone explain what the process is? What I will need? Perhaps a company that will assist?

Any advice will help, I am currently based in…

Hello all - will be arriving (internationally - weekday) at Heathrow airport 6:35 am and will take Heathrow Express from the airport to Paddington then the Tube to St Pancras for the Eurostar to France. How much time should we allow to clear customs - take the Express and Tube to St Pancras? We will not have any checked luggage.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

I've been planning for a holiday trip to London in August, but I'm worried about being unwelcome there. For instance, the UK newspaper The Guardian writes about "reports of xenophobia cited by EU research scientists in their daily life in buses, trains, shops and from neighbours. Word is spreading fast: don’t come to Britain."

I'm no scientist, but my accent will immediately give away that I'm from continental Europe. I was wondering whether I should change plans and pick a non-UK destination…

We are staying 2 nights in Gloucester. We basically have 1 full day and a bit to explore the Cotswolds from here. We will have a hire car. Just wondering what your suggestions are of some beautiful Cotswolds villages we could fit in.

Hi All -
I'll be in London Mid-November for the first time, and amongst my research I'm trying to determine what the best route getting to/from LHR Airport into Central London is. I'm staying near the Marble Arch tube station adjacent to Hyde Park.

The options I've gathered so far:
1. Heathrow Express / National Railway to the Tube / Central Line
2. Piccadilly Line @ Heathrow then bus transfer?

I'm trying to familiarize myself with the Tube system, and I'm definitely finding that there's no real…

Will be in London late August his year. I've been a few times before and seen the obvious tourist sites. Looking for some different suggestions if you would:

  1. Authentic, small, less travelled Victorian pubs. Willing to travel outside central London by transit. I'm easy-going and won't act a tourist and kill the room

  2. Dance club that has a decent scene during the week, Tuesday or Wednesday nights preferred. Will be there over weekends but time is dedicated elsewhere
