Description provided by property
Situated in the centre of Cambridge, with valet parking near the edge of the River Cam, The Varsity Hotel and Spa offers modern rooms, and an impressive rooftop terrace with uninterrupted views.
Each room is named after a different Cambridge college, and features an LCD TV, DVD library, free Wi-Fi, and an iPod dock. Most rooms offer monsoon showers and under-floor heating. Some rooms have balconies and views of the college rooftops.
Inspired by traditional Cambridge, The Varsity offers guests access to the Glassworks Gym and Spa, with hot tub, steam room, sauna and exercise classes.
The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Kings College Chapel, Trinity College, and the majority of the Cambridge colleges. The Grand Arcade shopping centre is 10 minutes’ walk away, and there are a number of restaurants, bars and cafes close by.
Valet parking is GBP 19.50 per day (24 hours). Guests can arrive at the hotel drop the luggage off and the valet porters will park the car for them.
Due to St Clements Garden’s building work taking place on the road leading to the hotel, Thompson's Lane, the road will be closed on weekdays. The road is cleared by the workers at 17:00 on Fridays until 09:00 on Mondays.
There will be no vehicular access to the hotel from Magdalene Street towards Bridge Street, turning left onto Thompson’s Lane. A diversion will be in place via Jesus Lane and then New Park Street. For a satellite navigation use please input CB5 8AS postcode onto your system and then drive towards New Park Street (the hotel is at the end of the road on the left hand side corner and a union flag is raised on the front side of the building).
