Lonely Planet review for Café Baguette Lido

A friendly bakery with two pages of creative sandwiches, divided into lite and, well, the opposite of lite. Try the turkey breast with cottage cheese, or salmon with capers, both served on wholegrain bread; or turn the page to the pesto chicken and NY Polish sausages. All come with a salad, fries or potato salad - whether you want it or not!

Nice place but didn´t match the description above

    efyl recommends this,

I´m staying nearby for a month so I decided to check it out today for lunch. The place is fairly nice and does have some reasonably good quality desserts/pastries. However, it´s nothing like the description above. The single "sandwich" on the menu for $3.20 was described to me as being ham and cheese. The lady showed me the bread it came on . . . basically looked like Bimbo bread (Central America/Mexico) or Wonder bread (USA).

The place matches up exactly on the map. Hard to believe though it´s the same place . . . so, I´d recommend it as a bakery but not as a sandwich shop.
