Hotel San Carlos

The Tica bus terminal is located at this small downtown hotel, so it's convenient if you've got an early departure. The rooms are decent enough, all with bathroom and fan, though there's no hot water, air-con or TV. It's good enough for a night (or at least until the bus leaves) but neither the overall cleanliness or surrounding neighborhood are conducive to longer stays.

It doesn't have any food service, but there is usually a lady selling sweet bread and café con leche (coffee with milk) to early-morning passengers.
