A great, well-located colonial-style hotel reminiscent of those in Mexico or Guatemala. Rooms have high ceilings, painted stucco walls, and handmade wood furniture, plus modern touches like air-con and cable TV. Continental breakfast is served in a pleasant interior courtyard.
This is one of my favourite places in town. Rooms are beautifully decorated, with welcome modern touches such as silent air-con, cable TV and firm beds. Upstairs rooms open onto a wide open-air corridor with a couch and armchairs; there's another little sitting area downstairs, with chairs and reading materials. All the common areas (and the rooms soon too, if all goes according to plan) have wi-fi. Second floor rooms have the best view and light, especially corner rooms 5 and 8, which have windows on two sides. Three more rooms and a larger dining area are in the works.
