Getting there & around
You can pick up San Salvador-El Poy buses anywhere along the two main roads through town, simply wave your hand for the driver to stop.
Bus 119 runs every half hour from San Salvador's Terminal de Oriente to the El Salvador-Honduras border at El Poy, stopping at La Palma (US$1.50, three hours) and San Ignacio (US$1.60, 3ΒΌ hours); some buses enter San Ignacio, others drop you at the turnoff. The last bus to San Ignacio and El Poy (weekday/weekend US$0.50/0.60, 30 minutes from La Palma) trundles through at 7pm; the last bus to San Salvador leaves El Poy at 4:15pm.
Buses for Cerro El Pital and Miramundo leave from San Ignacio.
