Getting there & away
La Libertad doesn't have an official bus terminal, but most of the local and long-distance buses line up at designated spots in the market and traffic-choked northeast corner of town. Buses from La Libertad travel to the following destinations:
La Perla Bus 192 (US$0.45, every 30 minutes from 7am to 5:30pm).
San Salvador Bus 102 (US$0.55, one hour, every five minutes from 4:30am to 7pm).
Sonsonate Bus 287 (US$1.25, 2½ hours, 1:45pm only); or take any La Perla bus and transfer to bus 216 (US$0.80, 1½ hours, seven departures daily).
