stay all evening, but skip breakfast.

    wateringrocks recommends this,

When staying at the Bishibishi camp, this place provides the included breakfast. Said breakfast is the reason for the lower rating on the food. the 'continental breakfast' includes a bun, a croissant, fruit salad, yogurt, and a boiled egg. the bun is stale, the croissant frozen and then undercooked, yogurt is slightly questionable, and the fruit salad is covered in a jam like substance and the whole lot is immediately covered in flies. Flies are not the fault of the restaurant, its just outside.
What the funny mummy lacks at breakfast time it more than makes up for at dinner. the bbq portion of the menu comes with fresh pita and amazing dips as well as rice and vegetables. And i didn't make it through a meal without ordering a banana milkshake.
the atmosphere of the place is wonderful and the service is just fine. it's an incredible relaxing and they don't have anyone out on the boardwalk hounding you to come in ( a rarity in dahab). after a meal it is easy to hang out with some sheesha and free wi-fi for the next few hours while listening to the ocean and an excellent array of tunes.
the staff is very good at deflecting both cats and kids who will try to snag food from your plate. they bring you a spray bottle before your food arrives to keep the cats away. use it! those little fiends are sneaky and will run off with a whole kebab if you look away for a second. the staff will quietly ask the kids to leave you alone after a while but be prepared for them to sit right next to you and grab some food off your plate while trying to sell you bracelets. if you have a problem with people sticking their hands in your food it is best to save a few fries or a bit of pita in a plastic cup for them.
overall, this is a fabulous place to be and the most relaxing place i visited in my time there. you will likely find some great people there and the owners are extremely friendly. great for couples, large groups, or meeting new folk
