Lonely Planet review for Sabai Sabai
Even if you’re not craving Thai food, you might want to visit this mellow little restaurant for its quiet outdoor terrace. Salads and appetisers have all the requisite lemon grass and herbs, and the curries have just the right balance between searing heat and rich flavour. Taxi drivers may know the street by its old name, Sharia Maahad al-Swissry.

Don't Expect Much
jaroslawcairo does not recommend this,
Sabai Sabai in Zamalek, Cairo once started as a fine place but by now it is best avoided. The interior is nicely designed, even if a bit run down, but the quality of service is dismal. Yesterday's (22 March 09) dinner was a disaster. Starters, first, and main courses arrive in a totally random order, as suits the servers. Thai food comes in reasonable time, but for sushi and sashimi one must wait between 30 and 45 minutes, so a party cannot eat together. Getting simple things like soya sauce requires repeated requests ('just one minute, Mister') and ages of waiting. Sushi comes without wasabi, sahimi comes without ginger ('just one minute, Mister', before the fourth time around you learn that they havn't any.) A serving of sushi never appeared on the table in spite of numerous requests, ('just one minute, Mister') but it did appear in the bill. Real pity, because the food is mostly OK.
