Lonely Planet review

The African House offers an affordable way to stay in one of the city’s most gorgeous mid-19th-century buildings. Rooms on the 4th floor have dimmer halls, but big balconies. The shared kitchen is a bit grotty, and the toilets occasionally run, but the staff are very nice.

Our independent authors have visited African House Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Cairo.
