Getting there & away
The bus terminal (15 de Noviembre) is in the southern end of town. There are numerous departures a day for Quito ($5, five hours) via Baeza, and to Coca ($7, six hours). There are regular departures to Puyo ($2.50, three hours), Ambato ($5, six hours) and BaƱos ($4, five hours). Jumandy has a night bus to Lago Agrio ($7, eight hours). Most of these main routes are paved, but unpaved sections, old buses and inclement weather still make trip lengths in the Oriente notoriously unpredictable.
