Lonely Planet review for Uncle Ho’s

Sleek and slender, Uncle Ho’s whips up tasty bowls of pho (noodle soup), sea bass with chili and lime over rice noodles, glazed spare ribs and other Vietnamese hits. Eat at the counter or grab an outdoor table on the quiet street in front.

A bar and restaurant - OK music- ABSOLUTELY not special

    sueb4bs does not recommend this,

If you are a drunk, you will love this place. It features lots of exotic drinks with names to match..It has that ADOLESCENT Wow BAR ambiance -- definitely NOT for anyone over 30... the pho (Vietnamese soup) I had was overpriced @$8.00 USD and very, very salty-- really terrible and I could barely eat it.

Not for the average visitor who wants a good Asian meal with a beer maybe -- I found the place oppressive and clearly $$$$.

    Good for: booze and babes

Not good for: authentic Asian food...

    Best Craic in Quito!

    gringoinquito recommends this,

On any given day you can go to Ho's and meet expats, locals and kindred souls, enjoy the house specialties like fried calamari while talking to the Irish owner Kevin as he unwinds at the end of the day. Drinks named Charlie Don't Surf, AK47 and Me Love You Long Time are strong and often two for one. Towards the weekend there is a live DJ spinning chilled out world beats.. A friendly refuge for the traveler looking for something different.

    Good for: ANYONE and EVERYONE

    Not good for: Boring People

    Great food and great fun...

Initially I could not believe that I found a Vietnamese restaurant in the middle of the Andes mountains but there it was. The food sealed the deal. I strongly recommend the fried spring rolls and the glazed spareribs. The curried chicken is also excellent.
