Getting there & away

CLP buses pass by Montañita on their way south to Guayaquil at 5am, 1pm and 5pm ($5, 3½ to four hours). These are more comfortable than other buses that stop past on their way to Santa Elena ($1.50, 1¼ hours), La Libertad or north to Puerto López ($1.50, one hour). These depart every 15 minutes or so.
