Ecuador and the Galapagos islands

hi, I am reading two travel guides and get documented for the above country. First the entrance tax for the islands is not any longer $100.00 but 200.00 plus the tourist card plus the entrance fee for each individual park/beach/private path to reach the fauna. Exorbitant cost! Some of the symbols listed in the accommodation are not clear to me. Also their meaning is not listed either in front or back of the book. I understood that the wi fr is not always offered in the island budget…

20:40 flight to GYE, cheaper options to get to Montanita

Hello All,

I'm flying from Panama into GYE at 20:40 and I'd like to make it into Montanita without spending the night in Guayaquil. It's freaking cold here in Toronto and I want sand instead of of snow and salt under my feet :p

I'm on a shorter trip so I'm anticipating the $80usd cab ride, however due to the CAD$ tanking, this is going to be a $100 cab ride for me.

If I manage to charm someone at the Panama airport, I MIGHT be able to catch a flight that that arrives at 17:35, so any…

Tayrona and Mompos

Hi,

I'm planning to head to Tayrona around the last week of Feb. But I've read that it's very busy these days, without the infrastructure to cope with the influx of tourists. Is it still worth going to? And for how long? I'm not keen to have a Disney jungle/beach park experience so if it's more in that direction I would skip and head straight to Palomina.

I'm also hoping to head to Mompos. Has anyone done the journey from Cartagena, and what is the least complicated method if travel? Plan is…

Getting India visa while in Buenos Aires

Hi

We are travelling through South America at the moment and planning to try to fly from BA over to India in March.

I know we need to apply for Indian visas prior to flying and want to know if anyone has any information or first hand experience of applying for a visa at the Indian embassy in BA?

Specifically I want to try to find out if this is definitely possible to do and how long it is estimated to take.

Many thanks :)
