Hostal Cafe Tiana
Lonely Planet review
Latacunga’s new kid on the block is a terrific backpacker- and climber-oriented hostal situated in a century-old house with a pretty courtyard and some Mamá Negra history (ask about it). The shared and private accommodations are straightforward but exactly what the doctor ordered if you’re coming in from the backcountry. If you’re headed out, the big breakfast included in the price will get you off to a good start. A true wellspring of traveler’s information and assistance, Tiana has a book exchange and can help with onward reservations and activities in Parque Nacional Cotopaxi and the Quilotoa loop. Luggage storage ($2) is available and Dutch, English and Spanish is spoken.
Our independent authors have visited Hostal Cafe Tiana and selected this as one of our recommended guesthouses in Latacunga.
