in october I'll be in Argentina, planning to visit the northern part. I'll have 20 days, the must do for me are about 5 days in Salta and sorrounding area, then head to Mendoza (another about 5 days - going exploring vineyards) and also going trekking for few days near Aconcagua area. I've already been in Iguazù so I'm gonna skip it this time and also staying no more than a couple of days in B.A.. I'm about to travel by bus. Any advices on how to spend the rest of the time? Does…
I am traveling to Colombia, then Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia, and while it seems all countries do not need the yellow fever shot, CDC says that if you are coming from a country with the risk of yellow fever (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia all have risks) then you are supposed to get the shot. I also read an old blog post that you can get the yellow fever shot for…
Hey all. Flying to Baltra tomorrow, then back from San Cristobal 12 days later. I haven't booked a cruise, and don't plan to unless I stumble across a killer last minute deal. Assuming I don't cruise, any recommendations on how to spend those 12 days? I'll start on Santa Cruz, I think visit Isabela, and end on San Cristobal.
On S. Cruz, I plan to visit the Darwin Research Center(s), Tortuga Bay, Las Grietas, play some ultimate frisbee, and do at least 1 day of diving (recos for the best dive…
I've got a couple random question about all of the above places in and around the Santa Marta area.

The way I see it, I've got time to do the hike to Perdida and visit Tayrona, or visit Tayrona and do some other things, like visit Minca and tube down the Palomino river. Is Ciudad Perdida a "must do"? I'm big into hiking and adventure, so it seems like it might appeal to me.
Hello! I know there are a lot of posts related and I did a search but did not find anything that answered my question. My friend and I are arriving on the Wara Wara train at 2:30 am to Uyuni (like a lot of people do) and I really want to reserve an accomodation beforehand. All the posts I am seeing on here are for more comfortable accomdations. Really we just want a place to pass the night until our tour in the morning.
So a cheap hotel or hostel would be ideal. I checked Airbnb which has…
