Despite the bright florescent lighting and faint smell of paint (it doubles as the owner's art studio), El Paisano serves up some of the most nurturing veggie food in town. Try the wholesome veggie surprise known as 'Concierto en A major from Belegum de su Secreto,' one of several oddly named dishes.

This place serves up the most mouthwateringly delicious steamed veggies on this side of the equator! I don't know what secret herbs and spices the owner puts into his dishes but the food sets this restaurant apart from all the other places in town. The jams are all locally made with organic fruits, the bread is fresh, soft and warm and the eggs, cooked to perfection, are the perfect remedy for a hangover. This is also one of the few places in town that serves real coffee! Be prepared to wait because everything is made to order.
The owner displays his painting so you may even consider taking home a nice piece of locally made art!
