Las Terrenas

Hi Everyone!

I have been to the DR 1 million times. (well not really, but a lot) I have never been to Las Terrenas.

Which beach town would you compare this to the most ? Which airport to fly into ? How long is the ride by privatetaxi? And how much approx. ? Thanks for any help. And if anyone could recommend moderate accommodation.

This is our journey to Dominica republic.
This is world-famous beaches of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Tourists from all over the world come here to enjoy the warm Caribbean sea and velvet-white sand. This beach was a real find for beach lovers and the hot sun. Refreshing cocktails on the beach, luxury hotels and expensive cars. But really this is just a small part of the Dominican Republic. Only its tourism side. The real Dominican Republic is quite different. Among the green hills of…

I recently went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for a Mother/ Daughter trip. I had a blast and here are a few things that I learned from my visit that could help you when you go.

We flew into the Punta Cana International Airport and stayed at the Ocean Blue and Sand Hotel. The hotel was only about a 20 minute drive from the airport. However, we spoke to a couple whose resort was 2 hours away from the airport they flew into. Before booking a hotel, I definitely recommend looking up the…

Hello.
About this journey was not written one line, and there was little to tell. It's only a short version of the whole journey. Just wanted to make a very brief and very quickly, so as not to strain the long vlogs about the journey. Hopefully this version will go even better than the originals for 7-15 minutes.
Enjoy watching.

Hello,

My first time in DR. I've dove in lots of places...some good & some terrible. Would like to go somewhere where the coral hasn't be destroyed by tourism. Which side of DR would be better. North or South Coast? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I will be flying to the Dominican republic as a solo traveller. I was looking at package holidays but I am worried that if I book this way, I will be paying double- as if I am travelling with 2 people. What to do?

Hello,

My wife and I will be on our honeymoon in Samaná, DR in late June this year and have built in a week to try and get over to Cuba. Despite its geographic proximity, all of the flights from Santo Domingo to Havana we have found are incredibly expensive (upwards of $1000 USD r/t) and have layovers in other countries like Panama and Mexico. We are hoping to find a more reasonable means of getting to Cuba, such as booking our flights once we're in the DR or chartering a ferry or sailboat. I'd…

Hello, all. I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I'll try to make this quick.

I live in Spain. I will be in Taiwan for two months this summer and will travel from Taiwan to the DR (Punta Cana) for a wedding in late August. I had to pull all types of miracles to keep the cost of getting from Taiwan to DR below 1k USD..

I plan to return to Spain (Barcelona) from the DR sometime after the wedding. . My problem is that I don't need to be back at work in Spain until late September/ early October.

I'd like…

itinerary help

Hello,

My sisters and I will be in the DR from 7/4 to 7/21 flying in and out from Punta Cana. We were really interested in exploring Punta Cana, Samana, the 27 waterfalls, and Bahia de las Aguilas. But these places seem more spread out than I initially thought, and I can't find any good information about travel options. We're trying to keep the budget under $700-800 for the trip as a whole.

In terms of sequence of places to visit, we were thinking Punta Cana to Samana to Puerto Plata to…
