Casa Por Qué No?
Lonely Planet review
Pierre and Monick, the charming French-Canadian owners of this B&B, are consummate hosts and rent out two rooms on either side of their cozy home – each room has a separate entrance and hammock. Only 25m or so north of the main intersection on your right as you’re walking toward the beach, the house is fronted by a long, well-groomed garden where great breakfasts (deliciously crunchy homemade bread!) are served (RD$300 for nonguests). When you tire of DR’s ubiquitous restaurant offerings, Monick can whip up a Thai dinner for you. It’s definitely not the fanciest spot in town, but it offers the warmest hospitality.
Our independent authors have visited Casa Por Qué No? and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Las Galeras.
