Trafalgar Falls
Your camera will have a love affair with these misty twin waterfalls, whose easy access puts them on the must-see list of just about every visitor to Dominica.
East of Roseau, the Roseau Valley is a ribbon of rural villages giving access to some of Dominica’s most dramatic terrain and top wilderness sites. In the north, Laudat is the gateway to the Unesco-protected Morne Trois Pitons National Park, a stunning pastiche of lakes, fumaroles, volcanoes, hot springs and dense forest. The village of Trafalgar is famous for its twin waterfalls, while Wotten Waven’s hot sulfur springs are said to have medicinal benefits. You can visit the area on a day trip but staying overnight definitely has its rewards.

This national park stretches across 17,000 acres of Dominica’s mountainous volcanic interior.
Across the valley from Trafalgar, and linked to it by a road across the River Blanc, Wotten Waven is famous for its natural hot sulfur springs and, thanks to some enterprising locals, has become a low-key ‘spa’ destination.
