Lonely Planet review
Comfortable and very well-maintained, Hotel Du Nord has managed to add a bit of character to its rather standard hotel appearance. If you're looking to stay near the train station, this place definitely stands out among its many somewhat seedy or nondescript neighbours.
Adding a splash of charm, the hotel's decor has donned a French theme. Giant Art Deco posters fight for space on the lobby walls while the prints in each room feature a particular French artist. The lobby and breakfast room are starlit with tiny ceiling lights. Rooms are done in warm colours - mostly yellows with blues or pinks. While they're fairly standard, they aren't dull. The rooms themselves are spacious but the washrooms are huge with giant tubs. Staff are friendly and helpful and maintains a family-run feel. The neighbourhood isn't exactly desirable but in addition to your proximity to the train station, you're also very close to Vesterbrogade, Tivoli and other major city sights.
