My wife and I were going to stay in Copenhagen for 5 days, but got a wild hair, and decided to rent a car and look for a beach town within 2 to 3 hours drive in either Denmark or Southern Sweden. Quiet is fine.
We are flying into Copenhagen in 4 days. Any suggestions?
We are planning a trip to Denmark for the Christmas season and in need of some advice. We had originally planned on spending a few days in Copenhagen and then spending the remainder of the time either in the Baltic countries or up in Sweden. However after looking further in Denmark it seems as though there is a ton to do and see in Debmark alone beyond Copenhagen. So now I'm taking some time to look into spending the remainder of our time in Denmark.
Here is what we are interested in:
I'm going to Copenhagen for 2 days next month and this is my itinerary: The Little Mermaid, Christiania, Amalienborg, Christianhavn, Frederiks Kirke, Rundetaarn, Christianborg Palace, Rosenberg Castle & Nyhavn. Is this a good itinerary in your opinion? Should I skip anything or add anything? And is there anything you would recommend to know about Copenhagen for tourists before they go?
My wife and I are going to Denmark at the start of August for a week.
We would like to spend 2-3 days in Copenhagen and spend the resst of the time outside of Copenhagen, visiting nice beaches.
Does anyone have recommendations for nice beaches? By nice I mean not overly-crowded, stunning scenery, relaxing.
Thanks for any suggestions
We are planning a (somewhat) last minute trip to Denmark the first week in August. We have 8 days (arriving from the US on Saturday, leaving the following Sunday morning). We're both early 40s and love "urban hiking:" walking around new cities, exploring different neighborhoods, and enjoying the architecture/history/museums/local sites, followed by good beer, wine, and food in the evenings. We also love the outdoors--getting out of the city to do some actual hiking, or canoeing and kayaking…
I was wondering if you could help with with something. I'm unfamiliar with Copenhagen and we're going for my girlfriend's birthday. We're going for dinner at Era Ora in the evening on the Friday but I want to do something else too, but I'm not sure what there might be to do? She got me cooking classes in Rome for my birthday, so it has to be as good as that! I thought of a day trip to Malmö but I'm not sure? Is there something better we could do? She likes cooking - although she's…
I am planning on a cycling trip from Paris via Amsterdam to Copenhagen this Fall. In preparation I am trying to work out the timing. I have an appointment in Copenhagen (well Malmö) on Nov 30th. From what I'm reading Late November might not be the best time to cycle from Amsterdam to Copenhagen. I am Canadian and thus am pretty used to sub-zero temperatures but am wondering if it is non-stop cold rain / wind/ even some ice at that time of year AND if campgrounds will be closed. I could plan to…
So my fiancee and I are planning a trip to Denmark, and we want to only use public transportation. The itinerary I am thinking of is based on a car trip, but I am hoping it'll work for the train/bus as well.
Day One: Copenhagen
Day Two: Humlebæk, then Helsingør
Day Three: Hillerød, then Roskilde
Day Four: Odense
Day Five: Svendborg
Day Six and Seven: Ærø and return to Copenhagen
Would this be doable by bus/train? Or if only some of it is, what could I do instead that would be easier?
My wife and I have lunch reservations for 4 people on September 8th, 2016 at Noma. We are looking for 2 others to join us as the reservations are otherwise impossible to get and we cannot reduce our booking down to 2 people. We're traveling to Copenhagen for a week and coming from Chicago. If you're interested, please let me know and we can sort out the details.
