Meet Factory
Don’t come here looking for a polished art experience. For the moment, David Černý’s ‘Meet Factory’ is very much a work in progress. The idea is to invite artists from around the world to live and create in this cavernous, abandoned factory south of Smíchovské nádraží. The Meet Factory also holds visual and performance art happenings, film screenings and concerts. The problem is that the group that runs it, headed by prominent local artists, is still scraping together the cash to patch the walls and install heating, so actual happenings are few and far between. Piss' Sculpture
Cries of disbelief, laughter and raised cameras greet this saucy animatronic sculpture of two guys pissing in a puddle shaped like the Czech Republic. However, you can have even more fun with Proudy (2004) by David Černý. The microchip-controlled sculptures are writing out famous Prague literary quotations. Hanging Out' Sculpture
Here's more inspired madness from artist David Černý. Look up at this corner; you'll see a bearded, bespectacled chap not unlike Sigmund Freud casually dangling by one hand from a pole way above the street. In Czech the 1997 'Hanging Out' is called Viselec.

Cubist Lamppost
Angular but slightly chunky, made from striated concrete - the world's only cubist lamppost would be worth going out of the way to see. So it's a happy bonus this novelty is just around the corner from Wenceslas Sq.
