Lonely Planet review
A grand old hotel from 1906, the Union was nationalised by the communists in 1958 and returned to the former owner's family in 1991. Comfortably renovated, with a few period touches left intact, the hotel is at the foot of the hill below Vyšehrad fortress. Bedrooms are plain but pleasant.
Ask for one of the deluxe corner rooms, which are huge and have bay windows with a view of either Vyšehrad or distant Prague Castle.
Our independent authors have visited Hotel Union and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Nové Město.
