Regular performers the Senior Swingers sum up the atmosphere and age range at this traditional basement jazz haunt, which offers an easily digestible menu of Dixieland, ragtime and swing. The Met shows a similar preference for substance over style in its choice of décor, with a plain tiled floor, a few musical instruments and posters on the walls, and a general lack of adornment that focuses the attention on the solid, dependable, evergreen music.
