Getting there & away
From Ostrava to Olomouc there are regular buses (120Kč, two hours) and fast trains (130Kč, 1½ hours). From Brno, there are about 15 buses (60Kč, 1¼ hours) and five direct fast trains (120Kč, 1½ hours) each day. The fast train connections from Prague (294Kč, 3¼ hours) depart from Praha hlavní nádraží.
First-class SuperCity Pendolino trains run from Praha-Holešovice (500Kč, 2¼ hours) to Olomouc and from here on to Ostrava (340Sk, one hour).
From Bratislava in Slovakia you’ll need to change at Brno.
