Getting around
DPMB (543 174 317; www.dpmb.cz; Novobranksá 18; 6am-6pm Mon-Fri, 8am-3.30pm Sat) sells tickets and monthly passes for public transport. Tickets valid for 40/60 minutes cost 13/19Kč and allow unlimited transfers; 24-hour tickets are 50Kč. There’s also a 10-minute, no-transfer ticket (8Kč). You can also buy tickets from tabák (tobacco) shops or from the orange ticket machines at some tram stops.
From April to October environmentally friendly riverboats (www.dpmb.cz; adult/concession 80/45Kč) run between 11 stops on the Brno water reservoir. Ask at DPMB for more information.
City Taxis (542 321 321) can be called for bookings in advance.
Avis (542 122 670; www.avis.cz; Husova 16) car rental has an office at the Hotel International.
