There are plenty of direct buses (80Kč, 1½ hours) and trains (140Kč, 1¾ hours) daily to/from Prague.

To and from Karlovy Vary, buses are quicker (76Kč, 1¾ hours) and more frequent (about eight a day) than the train (no direct services).

For České Budějovice, the train (162Kč, 1¾ hours) is usually quicker but more expensive than the bus (110Kč, 2½ hours).
