Land
Bus & train
Regular ČSAD (353 913 550; Terminal Dolni Nádraží) buses run to Prague (150Kč, two hours) and are faster than trains (353 913 559), which take four hours (275Kč).
Asiana (353 360 411; Varšavká 11/1141; 9am-5pm Mon-Fri) runs buses to Prague Florenc (140Kč) and Prague’s Ruzyně Airport (190Kč) every hour. There is another office at Terminal Dolni Nádraží (353 633 283; 7am-6pm).
A seat reservation (místenka) is recommended for Prague (book a day or two in advance) and for international connections (book at least a week in advance).
There are also departures to Nuremberg and Frankfurt once a week (you need to book this as it does not stop in Karlovy Vary if there are no bookings), and Amsterdam once a week, from the lower train station.
Air
ČSA (239 007 007; www.csa.cz; Mírové náměstí 2) flies to Moscow four times a week (12, 600Kč) from Karlovy Vary International Airport (KLV; 353 360 611; www.airport-k-vary.cz), 7km from the town.
Bus 8 runs to and from the airport from Tržnice bus station. The cost is 10Kč with an additional charge of 10Kč for luggage.
