This is an excellent, good-value option, with an attractive riverside location. The modern rooms are light and airy, and anywhere that integrates 14th-century walls into their design is OK by us.
On a quiet street near the river, Pension City has comfortable rooms and friendly, English-speaking staff armed with lots of local information.
Situated near a couple of good local pubs, Hostel Postel has a sunny courtyard with shady umbrellas to help you wake up slowly after a big night. All accommodation is in super-clean, two- to four-bed rooms.
Exposed beams plus restored brickwork equals simple charm. As with many other places in town, the pension tends to fill up in summer, but is much emptier and cheaper in winter.
Perched above the river, Krumlov House is friendly and comfortable, and has plenty of books, DVDs and local information to feed your inner wanderer. Lots of day trips are on offer. The owners are English-speaking and traveller-friendly.
