Public transport into and out of the region is strictly functional, designed to get people to and from Lefkosia for work or business. There is a Monday to Saturday bus from Agros to Lefkosia (CY£1), via Lagoudera, at 7am, which returns from Lefkosia at midday. Other colourful, old-fashioned local buses link most major Pitsylia villages with Lefkosia, but usually leave early in the morning and return to the villages in the early afternoon. Seats need to be booked, and visitors should not rely on these services for planned day trips to the region.

This is an area where you need time and energy; hiking from one village to another or perhaps hitching to a better-served transport artery are probably your best bets.
