Understandably, politics may come up when people talk Cuba. We accept that and believe it's both naive and unhelpful to pretend it's not a part of travel and Cuban experience.

However, if you wish to start topics on Cuban or U.S. politics then you have come to the wrong place, as this is primarily a forum for travellers and locals to exchange advice and connect.

If you'd like to post travel related news items please post a couple of brief paragraphs with a link to the complete article.

I am British and am flying from New Zealand to LA in December and was planning on flying straight to Havana.

I cannot locate the name of this bar so if anyone can find the link or give me the name I would…

"Our policy begins with strictly enforcing U.S. law," Trump said during his speech in Miami unveiling the new policy. "We will enforce the ban on tourism."

"The administration warned that U.S. travelers can expect to face more questioning from authorities when traveling to Cuba, either from customs agents at the airport or through audits later on."
