Lonely Planet review for El Gran Dragón

First on the left as you enter Cuchillo from Calle Zanja, this is as good an introduction as any to the energetic pulse of Havana’s Barrio Chino. Specialties include wonton soup, chop suey, chow mein and fried rice, and the prices come in at less than CUC$5 a dish. Spread over three floors and with alfresco dining options outside, this is a good place for vegetarians.

    Forget 'Chino' in Cuba

    robfwoods does not recommend this,

With 2 weeks in Havana, I am pretty much ready to say to forget finding any Chinese food there.

But absolutely forget the Gran Dragon - I tried the place. Ordered sweet+sour chicken - no chili available - and GET THIS! -- NO RICE!!!! (in a country where rice is a staple for their OWN cuisine!)

And then for the actual dish - I took a piece of the chicken - first try - and bit straight into a piece of bone!

I asked for the bill - and left - I have no idea who ate my meal which stayed on the table.
