This is probably the best place to eat in Trinidad...

The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the service is quite good - not least by Cuban standards. And for those travellers who are beginning to seriously doubt the quality of Cuban cuisine, it is the perfect place to experience national dishes with more taste than in most other places. 

Their "Cordero a lo Cubano" (shredded lamb) is definitely the dish to go for. It is served in nice portions and is really delicious - of course served with all the usual Cuban side dishes (fried platanos, cucumber, etc.)

The only downside is that the place is quite popular - so either arrive early or prepare to wait a while for a table.
