El Louvre information
With a gravitational pull on Remedios' scattering of tourists, El Louvre is, so locals proclaim, the oldest bar in the country in continuous service (since 1866) – and who are you to argue? Longevity awards aside, the fried-chicken-and-sandwiches menu can't quite match the quaint park-side location. The bar was good enough for Spanish poet Federico García Lorca, who heads the list of famous former patrons.
