We are from California and am trying to plan a Oct wedding this year in Hvar (yup...we are late starters).
I tried contacting http://weddingsincroatia.com, b/c we really liked the pictures we saw on her site. But after some email exchanges she's sort of disappeared...I also read that she will not be there the day of to make sure things go smoothly, is that still true?
I found another closed thread (https://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/forums/europe-eastern-europe-the-caucasus/topics/…
Im struggling to find reliable ferry/boat/catamaran times from Split to Vis island. The website seem out of date.
Im looking at a flight that lands at 6pm in Split, but want to get to Vis in the same evening. Is that possible?
I dont have a car.
I am going on holiday in Croatia this September with 3 others. Flying to and from Dubrovnik - 7 night trip.
I'm hoping for some itinerary advice if anyone has some ideas. I am thinking of 3 nights in Mljet and 2 in Dubrovnik. Are Kolocep and Lopud worth a night or two or are they more day trip locations?
I'm also having trouble finding sites where I can pre book ferries? I'm hoping to book ferries before accommodation!
Be great if anyone could help/advise. Thanks!
We will be travelling with a mobilhome (3 kids) from Zagreb to Dubrovnik in 15 days to spend (2 more arriving and leaving by flight). We are travelling during high season (second half of July). I am much hesitating on our itinirary:
Zagreb (1) - Plitvice (2) - Zadar/Pag (2) - Trogir/split (2) - Brac (2) - other island (2) - dubrovnik (3)
Zagreb (1) - Plitvice (2) - Split (2) - Brac (2) - Mostar (2) - kotor (2) - dubrovnik (3 )
Any suggestions on our route to follow? And any…
Planning a 2 week backpacking trip with 2 of my friends in October. Our tentative itinerary is as below:
13-18: Prague. (1-2 days in Cesky Krumlov)
19-28: head to croatia. (Zagreb-Split-Hvar-Dubrovnik) - for inter city comment, we will most likely rent a car or look at bus services, or even ferry for the coastal towns.
Our tentative budget per day is 45-50 euros. (Which seems doable, since most hostels fall in the range of 15-20 euro pp).
I needed inputs in figuring commute between the…
my friends and I are going to visit Jadar in July for the weekend only (Thursday-Monday morning).
I'm actually interested in hiking the Vela Straza in Dugi Otok for the view, but I kind of doubt it is possible because of the ferry departing schedule and the time needed for the hike.
Any idea for a possible daily trip to the nature (hiking or trekking for instance), something which is non-water related but rather view-point related (either to the nearby islands or around Zadar mainland…
This summer I'm going to Eastern Europe with my girlfriend, traveling by car, sleeping in a tent. We are looking for nature: the "rough" spots & the "secret" places. Not the touristic stuff!
Who knows spots like that? Hidden beaches, remote campings, motorcross, cliff jumping, kayak, bareboat; any tip is welcome!
I'm planning vacations across Europe this summer (in fact in the very high season - 23 July-6 August - but there's no other way) and during one week we will stay in Croacia. Our plan is as follows:
30 - Arriving in Zagreb (by train, from Budapest)
31 - Zagreb- Plitvička Jezera and in the end of the day we will continue to Dubrovnik probably by car (or by bus?)
Then we will stay in a good place in Hvar to rest before the return trip to Portugal :)
I would like to do a day trip from Dubrovnik to Krka. What is the best way to do it - can I book an organized day trip through one of the local tour companies? Or will I need to rent a car? Or hire a boat?
I apologize for my english.
Me and my better half, both later twenties, are traveling to Croatia in July this summer.
We have heard a lot of good stuff about Split, Brac and Baska Voda and now we would like tips on which order we should visit them (possibly Dubrovnik too).
What is the easiest/cheapest order to visit these places?
Which Must's are on the way?
