Bus and ferry timetables

Hello all. I am traveling to Croatia on 1 March and staying for two weeks. The day after I arrive I am flying from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, and then spending my time slowly working my way back to Zagreb. I'm traveling alone and plan on "winging it" for the most part, but I am curious about bus and ferry timetables. Since it is the off-season I know fewer routes will be active as compared to July/August, but I would like to have a look-see of timetables before I go. Can anyone recommend and/or post…

Car Rental

I have booked a cabin on an old freighter returning to Opatija, Croatia on May 9th, 2015.I had planned to rent a car and drive south to Dubrovnik. Then cross into Albania. Rent another car and take a week seeing the country. (I read here Avis would let me cross borders, but they want $11,900 for the privilege.) Right now I see my option is going up to Slovenia and flying down to Tirana. (I am almost 70, so am not into walking or camping) Is there any other way?

First, part of the reason that we're interested in spending so much time in Dubrovnik are the day trip possibilities. Specifically, we're thinking Mljet, Ston, and Korcula. However, after…
