I want to go to Dubrovnik in august to see the buildings etc, but my gf likes to spend all day at the beach. I've heard there aren't many sandy beaches around, are there any resorts nearby (within 10 miles) that have nice beaches and is within a short distance to Dubrovnik?
I am planning to go on a trip to Croatia. I will first head to Rijeka and move on towards
RAB from there.
Has anyone taken then bus from Rab to Senj and then to Zadar before?
I would like to go straight to Zadar from RAB if that is possible.
I am planning a trip to explore Croatian islands for a week. I know about Dubrovnik. Can anyone help me details like.
Islands to be explored in 7 days
Best mode of transportation for island hoping.
Idea on hotel rent
A buddy and I are travelling to Zadar at the end of the month and flying out of Pula 8 days later. We will be using public transport to get around. We want to see as much as is possible while also managing to relax a bit. Our main interests would be nice scenery, a bit of wandering around historic streets/sites, a bit of seaside time, eating out in nice restaurants and a little nightlife (30-40 yr age appropriate!). With this in mind and based on ease of access using public transport we have a…
I am going to be in Bratislava in August and I am thinking about taking a trip to Zagreb- Zadar- Split- Rome
I have a few questions for you guys:
1- I am going to be traveling alone ( female) is croatia safe? with all the immigrations...
2- I am planning to travel via ferry from Split to Ancona- any tips?
3- Buses - which company to book?
Heading to Croatia in early July. I've got a night near Plitvice National Park, 2 nights in Split, 2 nights in Hvar, and 2 in Dubrovnik (these are already booked).
The ferry options for Split - Hvar - Dubrovnik mean that I can either have 2 full days in Split (and one in Hvar), or 2 full days in Hvar (and 1 in Split). Seeking advice about which is the better spot to spend my time. My interests are in history, culture, and general atmosphere/ scenery.
May seem pedantic to be deliberating over…
I am looking at coming to Croatia next week and was looking at going to the Croatian Islands to enjoy the nightlife. I was thinking about Hvar. Does anyone know if the nightlife will be good next week or will it not really pick up until the end of the month. If it is quiet do you have any other recommendations for somewhere more lively.
Hi, we've never been to Croatia or Slovenia before and wondered where to go this September. Can anyone help?
We like very quiet, peaceful places - perfect nightlife for us is a cheap local authentic restaurant and a bar or 2. We'd like to spend time by the sea (or other water), explore the countryside and interesting places - by scooter/car? Or even do a few gentle hikes/cycles. Anything in the great outdoors suits us fine. Not sure if we'll be able to afford sailing or canoeing, but it…
My friend and I are planning to visit Croatia in July and were wondering which spots have the greatest variety of fish. I have also seen a spot which is supposedly good for seeing Octopus, does anybody know what that area is called? I know it's the fish aren't like the Red Sea or the Indian Ocean but it'll do. Thanks in advance!
Have most of my connections booked for my trip in June but I cant quite work out how to get from Split to Grabovac (where I am staying for a few days to explore Plitvice Lakes). Grabovac is a few miles north of the lakes. I can get a bus to the lakes OR to Zagreb.. if I book the one to Zagreb which goes through Grabovac will the driver be able to let me off????!!!!!
