Hi

This is my first post so hope it's ok :) I have been doing my best to do my research online prior to posting, so my apologies if I have missed any obvious sites!

We're currently in Slovenia and I'm trying to plan next week's itinerary but struggling slightly. We intend to leave Ljubjana at some point on Sunday and head for Plitvice Lakes (my daughter's birthday request for Monday). I'm trying to work out the most manageable public transport route to take, I'm thinking change in zagreb. 6…

Hello! I will be traveling to Croatia in August and am curious about whether or not Jetboil canisters, the lightweight stove canisters for backpacking, will be available to purchase in Croatia?

Thanks!

Hi guys,
we plan on getting to Zagreb this weekend and then want to bus to Plitvice for a couple of days and then make our way to Sarajevo.
There appears to be a lot of buses to Plitvice but do you need to buy them in advance or just appear on the day?
We are budget travellers where should we stay near Plitvice? will the bus go to this location?
I can see there are buses from Plitvice area to Bihac - is it worth staying here? Are there direct buses to Sarajevo? Is there some places (especially…

Hi!
Lat minute panic! Myself and my friend are going to dubrovnik on Sat 23 leaving mon 25th. We had planned to go to Mjlet, stay overnight and then ferry to Vis for 2 nights before our final 2 nights in Split. But have now seen there are no ferries to Vis from Mjlet.
So we need another island we can get to easily from Mjlet or Dubrovnik to arrive Tuesday 26 and depart Thursday 28th. Any recommendations? We just want a couple of nice quiet peaceful days on a beach, but these ferries are more…

Hey folks! I'm planning a trip all about Croatia in September. I've got a pretty loose itinerary at this point:

Wednesday - Zagreb
Thursday and Friday - Straight chilling
Saturday - Mošćenička Draga in Northern Croatia for a trail race
Sunday thru Tuesday - Plitvice Lakes, Zrmanja River Canoeing, and Dubrovnik

The idea is that it's all over the country though - both inland and on the coast... Is it best to rent a car in this case?
Do you have to leave the country to get to Dubrovnik? Is that…

hi
we will be travelling from Slovenia to Croatia soon via train or bus. Will there be border control? From what I can see Croatia is part of the EU but not part of Schengen - if I want my time in Schengen to stop do I need to get a stamp on entering Croatia?
thanks

Hello - My husband, 12 year old son and I are spending about 12 days traveling around Slovenia and Croatia. in late August-early September We've planned out most of our trip so far (Logarska Dolina - Bled - Vrsic Pass - Kobarid - Ljubljana - Rovinje/Istria), except for the last several days. We'd like to spend a couple of days on an island in the Kvarner Bay then wrap the trip up with a visit to Plitvice before heading back to Ljubljana. I've narrowed down the choices to Rab and the islands of…

Tours

I will be in Dubrovnik, Croatia for 10 days in August, and looking for tour agencies or individual guides who you can recommend for tours. We'd love to learn more about the history, see Korcula, other islands, wineries, go see how olive oil is made, a cooking class, and anything else you suggest. I've heard Dubrovnik has gotten a little touristy in the past few years, and I'd like to avoid cattle tours where you're stuffed on a bus with 50 other people, making the usual touristy stops and…

Hi All,

one simple question, do you know how I can get a local croatian SIM card or a mi-fi so not to be stuck with wi-fi?
Is there a provider or some places where to go and buy it?

Do you have an answer also for Slovenia?

Thanks a lot

Franz
