We are a family with 3 kids (ages 14, 12, and 9) and are heading to Croatia for about 3 weeks in late June 2017. My husband and I would love to either join a gulet tour or hire a private yacht with skipper, but can't quite figure out if our children would enjoy either for 7 whole days? I think the positive side of the gulet would be other people to interact with, but the kids may be bored with no ability to go into town or change the itinerary if they are not enjoying being in the water…
Is there anyone who can recommend an English speaking doctor in Zagreb please. Close to Ban Josip Jelačić Square if possible. Thanks very much. #lpincroatia #lonelyplanet
We will be going to Zagreb next August for 7-8 days and we plan to visit some other countries whilst we are there. We've seen alot of Croatia already so we will be using Zagreb as a transport hub to explore the surrounding countries.
On the list of places to visit already is Ljubljana which is easily accessible by train (2.30hrs)
Ideally we would like to see a city in Serbia and Bosnia but do not fancy being on a train for 5+ hours. Are there any places accessible by train in…
Does anyone know what the buses in the city are like - cost, frequency? I am considering a city break there by I notice it is quite expensive to stay in the old town, so was thinking of staying 10/15 mins out. Thanks
Could anyone please provide some information on night cruise trips for optimally 3 days-2 nights or even 5 days would do. Both from Dubrovnik and Split. I am trying to prepare an itinerary based on the information provided. I tried to search in internet but unfortunately most of them shows of 7 days or more which I cannot afford time wise. So would be great if anyone could highlight on the cruise trips from Dubrovnik/Split during the time of May-June, 2017. And where from can I book the trip…
Hi there - we are looking at spending 2.5 weeks in Croatia from start of July. 4 people from NZ. I know this is a very busy time but Is the only time we can leave our farm so wanting some advice.
Planning to fly into Dub - island hop to Split, hire a car and head up to Zadar, Rijeka, Pula area, back to Split to fly back to Rome.
1/ Are we crazy to do Croatia at this time.
Will we need to book ahead for ferries or can we book when there, island hopping from Dubrovnik to Split via Hvar, Brac etc
Need some help with my itinerary. I understand that the Balkans are well known for summer, but we are only available to travel in Winter. I'll be traveling with my parents, both 50+, so we're more into just discovering the culture and sights, not so much partying or beach hopping. We'll most likely be taking public transport but are considering renting a car if it's possible to drive across these states - is cross-border allowed with rental companies in EU?
Here's my suggested…
Good Morning :-)
Question, i'm trying to figure out the right ferries to use for our upcoming trip next June. Our current plan was to rent a car in Split, spend three nights in Brac, three nights in Hvar, and 3 nights in Vis and then return to split. I'm finding the ferry info and pricing a little confusing. Could someone pleaseeeee shed some light! I did see there is a catamaran that goes from Split to Brac to Hvar. Is there any way to get from Hvar to Vis? Or do we need to return Split to reach…
I've been searching for the ferry timetables between Korkula and Dubrovnik for septembre 2017. I Know its a bit Early but we are planning on biking the coast and would appreciate your input. Is this ferry discontinued or just not operating for the winter ?
